Prioritize Your Well-Being
Life’s demands—whether juggling a career, family, relationships, or personal goals—can take a toll on your mental and emotional health. As women, we often prioritize others’ needs over our own, leaving little time or energy to care for ourselves.
Maybe you’re feeling:
Stretched too thin
Burdened by expectations
Running on empty
Struggling to keep up with everything
Unsure of how to lighten the load
With empathy and guidance, we'll work together to navigate the challenges life throws your way.
It doesn’t have to feel this way forever.
Therapy can help you rediscover your balance, regain your strength, and carve out space for the things that truly matter to you.
I know it is not easy to ask for help or admit that something is wrong. Being here is taking the first step to getting better.
Hi, I’m Shelly Orlowsky, a licensed clinical psychologist with over 20 years of experience working with women.
My style is warm, interactive, and rooted in empathy. I aim to create a safe and supportive space where you can feel truly understood—no matter what you’re going through.
Here’s what I help with in individual therapy:
-
Understand & Trust Yourself
Gain clarity about your thoughts and feelings, and learn to trust your inner voice. Whether you’re navigating the uncertainty of infertility, the emotional weight of early parenthood, or the challenges of perimenopause, we’ll work together to help you feel more grounded and confident in your decisions.
-
Build Emotional Resilience
Life’s challenges—like coping with loss, managing sleepless nights as a new mom, or adapting to physical changes as you age—can feel overwhelming. Together, we’ll strengthen your ability to recover from setbacks and develop tools to manage stress more effectively.
-
Create Healthier Relationships
Learn how to express your needs, set boundaries, and nurture the relationships that matter most. Whether you’re reconnecting with your partner after fertility challenges or seeking balance in other areas of your life, therapy can help you foster deeper, more fulfilling connections.
-
Reclaim Your Identity
Rediscover who you are outside of the roles you play—whether as a mother, partner, or caregiver. Therapy provides a space to explore your personal needs and aspirations, so you can feel like yourself again and embrace the life you want.
Support for partners of women struggling with infertility, IVF, miscarriage and grief.
Healing can’t happen in isolation. Regardless of your gender, sexuality or relationship status, if you are in a relationship, affected by reproductive mental health issues I’m here to support you too.
It might be hard to know how to help your partner. Understandably, fertility issues or parenthood might have affected your relationship and you want the tools to work through it.
My clients say I help them…
Gain a deeper understanding of themselves and their needs.
Learn to express their needs to others in a healthy way.
Improve communication with loved ones and strengthen their connections.
Develop better tools to manage stress and find balance.
Reconnect with who they truly are and feeling more like themselves again.
To be the mom they always wanted to be.
To be kinder with themselves.
Feel less alone.
Feel more confident in their relationships.

Therapy is your time. You get to decide how to use it.
I don’t believe that there is one right way to do therapy. My style is flexible. Some sessions we may focus on what is going on for you that week. Other sessions we take a look at deeper questions.
Some sessions we might spend time problem-solving concrete issues you are facing.
Other sessions may focus on looking for patterns. We will look at past experiences that may be impacting your present.

For individual sessions, the first appointment is $275 and about 60 minutes.

I am currently in network with Carisk through University of Miami and Lyra.
For all other insurances I am considered out of network and can provide you with the necessary information to submit to your insurance company.
Services may be covered in full or in part by your health insurance or employee benefit plan.
Please check your coverage carefully by asking the following questions:
Do I have mental health insurance benefits?
What is my deductible and has it been met?
How many sessions per year does my health insurance cover?
What is the coverage amount per therapy session?
Is approval required from my primary care physician?
-
Some people prefer to pay out of pocket or privately for a number of reasons. Paying privately allows you greater freedom and choice in your health care because the insurance company is not dictating the treatment plan. Additionally, if paying privately, a mental health diagnosis is not required and your clinician does not have to prove that treatment is a "medical necessity." This means a mental health diagnosis will not become part of your medical record and stay with you throughout your life.
-
If you are unable to attend your scheduled therapy appointment or if you cancel without giving a 24 hours notice, you will be required to pay the full cost of the session.
